We held a no-code hackathon!

Hello, this is the PR department. Today I'd like to share with you the details of the "No-Code Hackathon" that was held within our company!
The goal of this event was to "experience the power of creating tools that make work easier for the organization," and it was planned as a place where both engineering and non-engineering employees could experience collaborative development with AI using AI tools.
The aim is "AI experience and its utilization"
There were several aims for this event.
・Engineer staff will have hands-on experience of how AI can improve development efficiency.
・For non-engineer employees, change the image that "development is something only engineers do" and make them realize that we live in an age where anyone can create tools depending on their ideas.
・Through the experience of quickly solving small everyday problems with AI tools, we will support on-site business improvements.
The aim was to give participants the opportunity to actually experience using AI and gain new insights.
issue is "to create an app that can help you have fun and come up with solutions to the burdens and problems of everyday work."
Participants came up with a variety of ideas to solve the burdens and problems they face at work on a daily basis!
Here we will introduce some of them.
[Reminding multiple people is a burden!]
Sending notifications and reminders to multiple people can be a bit of a hassle! This app makes it easy to send notifications and reminders to multiple people by entering the necessary information into Excel. The difficulty of reminding in particular resonated with the participants.
[Transportation expense settlement procedures are complicated and burdensome!]
Travel expense settlement can be a hassle because of all the time and effort required to search for routes! This app not only accepts travel expense settlements online and manages them all in one place, but also links with Google Maps, reducing the burden of route search. The judges were impressed by the ability to solve problems within the app.
[It's hard to find someone to talk to from scratch!]
When you want to consult with someone, it can be a bit of a hassle to try to find them from scratch! This app was developed to help you when you need to consult with someone. It even determines if the employee you searched for is in a meeting, and will approach you first, choosing an employee who is easiest to contact. You can also search for employees who share the same hobbies! It's also useful for internal communication.
最後になりますが、参加者からは、「開発経験がなかったけど簡単に作れた」「リアルタイムで作成できるのもすごい」など良い刺激や経験になったなどの感想を聞くことができました。また、エンジニア職ではない社員も参加する中、技術力の差をAIで埋めることで、エンジニア社員と同じレベルで楽しむことができていたのが印象的でした。
”あったらいいな”という発想力と、具現化に向けた言語力さえあれば、高度な開発技術を持ち合わせていなくてもある程度のアプリ開発はできる。AIとしっかり向き合っている人たちにとっては当たり前のことかもしれませんが、いつの間にか、そんなところまで近づいてきていると実感しました。
今回の「ノーコードハッカソン」はそんな技術の進化を体感し、発想の視野を高めることが出来るイベントだったように感じます。
当社では、このような社員の新たな気づきになるイベントを開催していますので、その模様を今後もお伝えしていきたいと思います。
