The "Shinagawa Gakuen Company Visit" is an initiative aimed at helping children to look to the future, learn how they are perceived by society, and develop their own outlook on life through dialogue between local children, with whom they normally have little contact, and people working at local companies through workplace visits.
On the day, four eighth-graders (second-year junior high school students) from Shinagawa Municipal Shinagawa Gakuen visited our company. We first gave them a brief introduction to our system solution Services business. Next, an employee in charge of investor relations and public relations joined us, explaining what IR and public relations activities are, as well as introducing the engagement activities we promote and sharing their thoughts on the job. In the second half of the event, the students had a discussion with our employees, focusing on questions from the students. They talked about a variety of topics, including how to utilize their interests and strengths as adults and how they overcame failures. It was also a good opportunity for our employees who participated to reconsider the meaning of work. We hope that this experience will provide some insight to the students who participated.
We will continue to actively promote society contribution activities in the local community.
