Area and system in charge of CUBE SYSTEM

Company X's business system is a banking system that enables non-face-to-face transactions. The main related systems consist of a core banking system that manages deposit information and other systems associated with it (Fig.). Of these, the CUBE SYSTEM is in charge of areas (1), (2), and (3). As the functions of the banking system have expanded due to the increase in online transactions, the CUBE SYSTEM has also expanded from ① → ② → ③.

① Banking system back office interface

This is the screen of the terminal used by call center operators for office work such as information inquiry and form output. This area was in charge of CUBE SYSTEM from the beginning when I participated in the project. Over the years since we participated, we have been co-developing with other companies, but now only one company is in charge of everything.

(2) Data linkage between the banking system and other systems

It is a function that bridges between the core banking system and related systems and the banking system. We will provide the necessary data and develop a batch to capture it. In this area as well, CUBE SYSTEM participated in the project, and I am still expanding the scope of my responsibility.

③ Banking system interface for customer

This is an online transaction screen that general user CUBE SYSTEM has participated in screen development for Services integrated into the banking system since 2018. Services was successfully released in June 2020 and has been maintained since then. Widely used screen development for user is a learning experience for CUBE SYSTEM

The size of the project team varies according to the difficulty of customers In 2020, we will form a team for each area with a system of about 20 people, and will be in charge of maintenance and development.

Overcoming large-scale system renewal and challenges in new areas

Through many years of project work, we have been renewing the system several times. Among them, I had a hard time renewing the banking system, which completely involved the area in charge of the CUBE SYSTEM In this project, the technology was used for the first time as a project, and the system configuration was also renewed. In order to face such difficult long-term development, we have increased the team to a maximum of 60 people. We were able to complete it with the cooperation of many members who involved other departments in the company. In addition, Services released in 2020 was a challenge part for this project, but customers and were able to complete the response safely.

Both large deals have been difficult for several years. Still, he completed the project by utilizing the knowledge and experience he had been involved in the system for many years. The contribution has been recognized and we have received high praise from our customers

Work closely with major hardware vendors

Company X's business system is basically composed of hardware made by a Sier (System Integrator) The frameworks and database used are also products of the company, and many of the functions provided by the company are incorporated into the system itself. Technical support from the company is indispensable for advancing the project. CUBE SYSTEM has taken the time to build a cooperative relationship with Sier (System Integrator) Throughout the project, we continue to absorb knowledge of advanced hardware and software.

Flexible responsiveness to meet all customers

In the development of systems handled in banking business, even a single error cannot be tolerated. Rigorous testing must be repeated over and over again before the system is released. The security to be protected is also much higher than normal development. Of course, the sense of speed of development is also important.
